1911 Indian Head $2.50 Quarter-Eagle Gold Coin

Very Nice… 1911 (no mint mark) $2.50 Quarter-Eagle gold coin, should grade as EF-40, maybe AU-50 according to 2010 Red Book. This is .900 gold, .100 copper, weighs 4.18g. (.12094 oz.), and measures 18mm diameter with reeded edge (all according to the 2010 Red Book).

The Redbook says, for EF40 (maybe AU50), there is a trace of wear on the cheekbone and headdress, the war bonnet, and feathers are strongly detailed, slight wear. There are minor scuffs, scratches, possible dings, and hairlines, on this circulated coin.

IMPORTANT NOTE: because of possible dents and dings, this coin might not have the book value otherwise. Front of the coin, mostly towards the center, it looks like dents, and on the back a couple places. Not sure about the possible damage, but we want you to know! Still… with gold values in the $1200 range, this will have bullion value.

Rare by any standards, this would be a unique gift!

Take her to the doctor. She is probably fine, especially if she was crying, and otherwise acting normally. But if she has a severe black eye you probably want to have her checked out for mild concussion or a cheekbone fracture.

At the least you want to call a doctor. Instead of asking for medical advice from a bunch of unknown strangers on a Yahoo message board.
