Actor Corey Haim dead at 38
LOS ANGELES, March 10 (UPI) — Former child actor Corey Haim has died of a suspected drug overdose, officials in Los Angeles said Wednesday. He was 38.
“The Los Angeles Police Department reported it was a possible drug overdose, but we’ve seen no signs of foul play at this time,” Los Angeles Coroner assistant chief Ed Winter told UsMagazine. “It’s pending an autopsy and toxicology. … He had been sick for the last couple of days with flu-like symptoms. … His mother was with him. He got up. He felt weak, and she helped him on to the bed. She called paramedics… They responded and transported him to the hospital. He was pronounced (dead) at 2:15 a.m.”
The Canadian-born actor starred in hit films like “Murphy’s Romance,” “Firstborn,” “Lucas,” “The Lost Boys” and “License to Drive” in the 1980s before an addiction to drugs stalled his career.
He was most recently seen in the reality TV series “The Two Coreys” with his childhood best friend and former frequent collaborator, Corey Feldman. The show ran for two seasons from 2007-08.
In the series, Haim spoke candidly about his struggle to say sober and his desire to jump-start his career.
The actor’s official Web site said a premiere was held for his new movie “American Sunset” in Las Vegas Jan. 25. The Web site touted the film, which is expected to get a theatrical release later this year, as “Corey Haim’s big comeback to movies.”
On his MySpace page, Haim last said his mood was “accomplished.”
A message posted on his official Web site Wednesday said: “It is with heavy heart that I report that Corey Ian Haim has passed away today. To leave a message for him and his family, please visit his official MySpace Page.”

oo! I watched the 2 Coreys in Dream a little dream earlier!
I can't believe what a total loser that Haim is.It's only a matter of time until he overdoses. He's poison.
This really depends on his interests and the amount you want to spend. If he appreciates a good smoke, a cigar is a safe choice. It's kind of difficult to say without many details.
