Fun With Pop On Pals | Babes and Kids Review

August 1st, 2010

Toys
Until I became a parent, I never realized just how many toys there are out there. There are so many available, and I’ve learned quickly that toys that my 4 year old is into may not be appropriate for my 2 year old. Aka toys with small parts. Pop On Pals are a new set of toddler toys that are bound to be a hit, and are definitely age appropriate for toddlers, aged 2-4. The boys have been playing with the Deluxe Amusement Park Playset for the last few weeks.

About the Playset
From the Pop On Pals Website:

This ultimate amusement park playset comes to life with lights, sounds, music and more! Pop your pal in five different activation points for lots of action/reaction play. Show off your strength on the strong man striker! Ride the roller coaster! Win the milk toss game! Swing on the dragon swing and spin around in the musical Ferris wheel! The fun never ends at the Pop On Pals Amusement Park Playset

Playtime!
This set came with one pal, three pop on rings, and one amusement park. The best way to see how engaging a toy really is, is to watch your child play with it. So we got it out of the box, and I sat back to observe.
This toy was a much bigger hit with my 2 year old than it was with my 4 year old. Although they did fight over the one pal that was included for some time, my 4 (almost 5) year old lost interest after not too long. My 2 year old still loves playing with it though. As I mentioned above, the set only comes with one pal. Unless your child is really good at sharing, this is cause for fighting and screaming. At least it was in our house. I definitely think it would be much better if it included more pals.
The rings are easy to pop on and off your pal, and that’s exactly what Rowan is doing in the picture below.

The lights and sounds are fun, the toy is easy to figure out, and overall it’s a great toy. The fun doesn’t stop with the amusement park though. There are also deluxe ring packs, vehicles, pal packs, pet packs and other playsets. The Pop On Pals website is also interactive, and you can see just how the toys work!

The product buzzed about in this article was a sample provided to me by the company or representing PR agency. Opinions are 100% mine.
