Shipping activity at PQ
KarachiBrisk shipping was recorded at the Port where five ships carrying Containers, Palm oil and Diesel oil were berthed at Qasim International Container Terminal, Liquid Cargo Terminal and FOTCO Oil Terminal respectively on Wednesday 07th April. Meanwhile, five more ships scheduled to load/offload Containers, Rice, Furnace oil and Diesel oil also arrived at outer anchorage of Port Qasim during last 24 hours.
Berth occupancy remained at the Port at 64% on Wednesday where a total of eight ships namely C.V ACX Marguerite, C.V CMA CGM Turquoise, C.V Asir, MV Alexi-III, M.V Oriental Moon, M.T DP Porteus, M.T Advance Victoria and M.T Galaxy were engaged at PQA berths to load/offload Containers, Cement, Rice, Chemicals, Palm oil and Diesel oil respectively during last 24 hours.
Cargo handling registered an upward trend at the Port where a cargo volume of 95,138 tones comprising 76,629 tonnes imports and 18,509 tonnes exports inclusive of containerized cargo carried in 2,319 Containers (Boxes) was handled during last 24 hours.
Three ships C.V ACX Marguerite, C.V CMA CGM Turquoise and M.T Advance Victoria sailed out to sea during last 24 hours, while three more ships C,V Asir, M.T Galaxy and M.T DP Porteus are expected to sail on Thursday. Four ships C.V CSAV Apennine, C.V OOCL Kobe, M.V Fraternity Wisdom and M.T Quetta scheduled to load/offload Containers, Rice and Furnace oil are expected to take berths at QICT, MW-l and FOTCD respectively on Thursday, 08th April. Container ships AI-Abdali and MSC Aurelie are due to arrive at Port Qasim on same day, while four more ships C.V Maersk Naha, C.V MSC Jeanne, M.T Samho Heron and M.T Emerald Park carrying Containers, Palm oil and Chemicals are due to arrive on Friday, 09th April-20l0.APP
