Buckinghamshire chip shop worker tied up and beaten

May 16th, 2010

A fish and chip shop worker near Milton Keynes was left with a broken jaw when he was tied up and beaten during a robbery.

The man was locking the back of Deep Blue on the High Street in Woburn Sands, on Sunday night when two men approached him.

One blocked his path and the other punched him and demanded money.

He was forced into the shop, where the men stole a “large sum of cash” and left him tied to a metal bar.

A friend found him half an hour later, at about 2130 BST, and he was taken to Milton Keynes Hospital.

Both offenders were black, 6ft (1.83m), muscular and wore dark clothing with scarves partially covering their faces.
