BU Offers Business Start-Up Training

Getting a business up and running during a recession of this magnitude can be difficult.
That’s why Binghamton University is lending a hand.
BU’s Small Business Development Center is offering entrepreneurs a three-week training course to help them get started.
The workshop teaches business owners how to successfully finance and market their services, but more importantly how to get ahead of the curve.
“Those who fail to plan, plan to fail. So the more planning they do, the more education they get regarding the process, the better. Chances are it lowers their risk,” said Business Advisor Ginny Thompson.
Entrepreneurs in fields such as auto repair, hair salons, and restaurants attended the workshop.
