'Global warming' nothing but a scam
There is no such thing as “global warming.” Period. Our planet has a history of climate change, which evolves over millions of years.
Since planet Earth solidified, it has had three different atmospheres. The first atmosphere was helium and nitrogen, but it dissipated because the planet was hot. Then, as it cooled, volcanic eruptions produced a second atmosphere of steam and carbon dioxide. Later, water vapor condensed, forming the oceans. Three million years later, bacteria evolved, consumed the carbon dioxide and excreted a highly toxic gas we call “oxygen.” Other bacteria released nitrogen. Organisms that could not adapt died.
The planet’s land mass, floating on huge tectonic plates, collided in a configuration that interfered with ocean currents. For the first time, it became cold, and ice made its debut 2 billion years ago. Sixty-five million years ago, an asteroid smashed near the Yucatan peninsula, eliminating, during the ensuing centuries, many animals, plants and other odds and ends.
Fifty million years ago, Earth’s temperature rose to 86 degrees Fahrenheit and ice was nowhere to be seen. Rain forests dominated worldwide. Over the next 50 million years, Earth’s temperatures fell, except during the Cenozoic Era, when temperatures vacillated and mammals dominated. About 5 million years ago, the presence of our forefathers became evident. Finally, beginning 2 million years ago, temperatures sank dramatically as Earth entered the Ice Ages, characterized by advancing and retreating ice caps, a cold, cold world in which we remain.
The last major ice cap we call the Wisconsin Ice Age, which lasted more than 200,000 years, retreated to its present far north location about 12,000 years ago. Among its other accomplishments are the Great Lakes. During the last millennium, 1,000 to 2,000 A.D., our planet experienced two significant climate changes. Between 1,000 and 1450, Earth went through what historians call the Medieval Warming Period, where temperatures averaged 65 degrees F. The world flourished. (“Warmers” have sought to remove this from history books. Literally! Why? They claim that at 65 degrees, life is unsustainable!) Later, between 1450 and 1900, Earth experienced what we call The Little Ice Age, with temperatures that froze the Bering Sea and engulfed Greenland. The world suffered terribly. Recently, between 1900 and 2000, temperatures have risen between 0.5 and 1.1 degrees (a United Nations estimate). Remember, the Little Ice Age ended in 1900. The ice cap retreated north. And the U.N. estimates the planet warmed by as much as one degree over the next 100 years? How do you ridicule the ridiculous?
During the 100-year period 1900 to 2000, our star, the sun, went through a period of high solar activity, accounting for both the diminishment of ice and modest warming. The sun is now going through another significant metamorphosis. For the first time in 100 years, there are no sun spots on the star’s surface. The last time this occurred was during the Little Ice Age! The correlation between solar activity and arctic temperatures is an established scientific fact. Contrarily, between 1900 and 1960, carbon dioxide levels and arctic temperatures moved in divergent directions.
Let’s put CO2 (carbon dioxide) in perspective. The atmosphere is composed of 78 percent nitrogen, 21 percent oxygen and 1 percent trace gases. Trace gases include argon, neon, helium, methane, nitrous oxide, carbon monoxide, carbon dioxide and water vapor. Air pollutants include sulfur compounds, methane, nitrous oxide, lead, carbon monoxide, carbon dioxide, radon gas, radioactive dust, water vapor and chlorofluorocarbons. Carbon dioxide, methane, nitrous oxide and water vapor are not pollutants! They are natural components of our atmosphere, and without carbon dioxide, man, and everything green, would die! The composition of our atmosphere is a delicate and complicated balance of many gases. Change one and some organisms adapt while some die.
In addition, there is the matter of clouds. There are more than 400 climate computer models, none of which include clouds. Why? Scientists don’t know where or when they’ll show up! Water vapor also is absent from the computer models but accounts for 75 percent of “pollutant” material. And yet former Vice President Al Gore and his hubristic minions believe that carbon dioxide accounts for 100 percent of earth’s “warming” and that it’s your fault!
Why is the president of the United States adopting Gore’s position? He’s not without a good brain. Surely, Barack Obama would recognize a scam when it’s presented. After all, he’s from Chicago. Believe this: Obama knows, and it’s an integral part of his “fundamental transformation of the United States of America.” The scam is necessary for the passage of “cap-and-trade” energy policy.
Those who remain adamant proponents of global warming are the galactic equivalent of inconsequential specks of intellectual nothingness, which have participated in the construction of a worldwide scam of immense proportions. Trillions of dollars are at stake.
There is hope for change, but only if you vote Nov. 2.
