With more than 80% of distributor places already allocated, DISTREE EMEA 2012 is the hottest channel ticket in town. One distributor returning to Monaco next February for EMEA’s largest independent event for the volume ICT and consumer electronics (CE) channel is UK-based Entatech. Jon Atherton, group commercial VP at Entatech, explains why.

“I have attended DISTREE EMEA for several years now and have always been successful in finding new and interesting vendors at the event,” explained Atherton.

Entatech is one of the UK’s leading privately owned IT distributors, with over 20 years of industry experience. The distributor currently offers over 8,500 products from 65 manufacturers to its network of channel partners.

The UK market remains solid with some business channels continuing to see huge growth although there has been some weakness in the traditional IT components sector, according to Atherton. Despite this, Entatech remains positive about its future prospects and sales growth in 2012.

“We are very confident and the actions that we took two years ago in terms of developing new brands are now reaping the rewards,” explained Atherton. “This is partly due to meetings and signing new contracts at DISTREE EMEA.”

As well as working with well-known brands such as Microsoft, AMD and Intel, Entatech continues to build an innovative product mix and is the exclusive UK distributor of choice for several brands. Entatech continues to work hard to address challenges facing the UK channel such as credit availability.

“We are offering increased credit terms to our customers,” said Atherton. “It is a challenge, but one that we are improving with our own Entacard offering 60 days credit. this has seen a fantastic uplift in applications.”

Entatech plans to add new vendors to its portfolio and hold its own in a distribution market that Atherton believes will become more ‘niche’ in 2012.“For Entatech our business focus is to retain margins, offer exciting new opportunities for our resellers and increase credit,” concluded Atherton.

Distributors, retailers and e-tailers wishing to submit an application to attend DISTREE EMEA can do so here. Please note that all applications are evaluated by the DISTREE EMEA qualification team and completing an application does not guarantee a place will be allocated at the event.

DISTREE EMEA 2012

Top distributors, retailers and e-tailers from across the EMEA region are invited to attend DISTREE EMEA 2012, the premier event for the regional ICT and CE channel, from February 7-10th in Monaco.

DISTREE EMEA gathers hundreds of senior executives from EMEA’s Information Communications Technologies (ICT) & Consumer Electronics (CE) volume distribution channel.

During the course of the three-day event, delegates take part in thousands of pre-scheduled one-on-one meetings with hundreds of vendors. each year, hundreds of new distribution agreements are struck across the region as a result of business relationships initiated at DISTREE EMEA.

DISTREE EMEA 2012 will also build on successful initiatives launched at last year’s sold out event including a regional awards ceremony. The ‘EMEA Channel Academy: 2012 Awards’ will include more than 20 categories for vendors and distributors from across the region.
