Cane Corso Rescue: Mischa – MO – Mature, Female with LOTS of LOVE to GIVE!! ADOPTED!!

February 21st, 2011

 Currently being fostered in MO:
This sweet, mature Corso is just one of the female Corsos retired from a life of making puppies. Mischa was taken from a life of kennel living and puppy making.
She has finally been given the opportunity to live the rest of her life sleeping on the couch, rolling in the grass, and being smothered with hugs and kisses. Mischa was 1 of 6 Cane Corso Mastiffs that CCRInc volunteers worked endlessly to save from a MO breeder auction :-( . Misha is a doll and is looking for a wonderful family to share her remaining years with…..she deserves to live out her golden years in a loving, nurturing, respectful home!

Mischa’s adoption donation is $250

It's A Corso's World!! The British Cane Corso Society Today Announces Family …

April 17th, 2010

Following the enormous success of 2008’s Cane Corso Discovery Day in Manchester and 2009’s Corso Carting Event in Colchester, The British Cane Corso Society (BCCS), is delighted to announce details of their next event. The BCCS Fun Day will take place on Sunday 30th May 2010, 11am – 6:30pm, at Wix Equestrian Centre in Essex.

The doors will open to more than a hundred Cane Corsos, their owners, enthusiasts, FCI approved breed judges and the BCCS Cane Corso Re-Home team, to provide attendees with an educational, yet fun filled day of activity for all the family. Doted on by the Italians for their intelligence and loyalty, relied on by the Brazilians for their power, highly regarded at the World Dog Show for their stature and loved by their owners, this rare and ancient breed is sure to make the event one to remember.

During the event, obedience training sessions; Cane Corso seminars; children’s dog handling classes; weight training demonstrations and even fancy dress shows will take place, whilst holidays and other luxury prizes can be won in a raffle. Tickets cost just £5 per adult on the door, children attend free when accompanied by an adult, and Kelly’s world-famous Pie & Mash and other light refreshments will be available at lunch.

“This is a family day out to discover the Cane Corso for those that already own one, want to own one or simply just love dogs. There will be something for everyone.” Jo Lueck, President, BCCS.

For more information about this wonderful breed or to find out more about the event please visit canecorso.org.uk or call Jo Lueck on 01255 831681.

Brooke – 7 month old female Cane Corso » dog rescue | dogs for …

April 16th, 2010

Brooke is a stunning 7 month old Black Cane Corso female. She is a very sweet natured girl and a delight to have around, she has lived with cats and children with no problems. She knows all her basic commands and is clean in house, she is still very young and typically loves to play and have lots of fun!

She is strong on lead and will pull so this will need extra work and ongoing training will be a must for such a young dog. She does love her food which will help greatly in her training. Brooke has not been socialised with other dogs and seems to think she is human, this is being worked on. As we see more of her personality come out we will put updates here on this lovely girl.

Brooke is vaccinated and microchipped, she is also now spayed and recovering well. She is very good in the car and travels well without any problems. All in all Brooke is a wonderful well rounded girl that will fit into her forever home with ease. As she is so young care will need to be taken that she is not over exercised so not to cause any damage to her growing bones.
