Extremely Adaptable! The only way I could hook up my speakers
I used these connectors for my wall-mounted surround sound speakers. Because the speaker is mounted against the wall, bayonet connectors wouldn’t work, they stuck out from the back so the speakers wouldn’t mount flush. This connector is flexible, it bent where I needed it to while remaining very secure.
The wires attached very easily and VERY securely with a screw on mechanism. No tools, other than something to strip the wires, was necessary. I have other Monster connectors and because of the gold plating they have never corroded, something that will degrade sound performance.
I removed some speakers I had installed about 5 years before. I looked those Monster connectors, which have an identical wire-locking mechanism. The connectors were not corroded, which I expected with the gold plating, but even the copper wire were it was connected, looked shiny and new, like it was just installed. Exposed wires can get dull and develope green oxidation, these didn’t after five years. My guess is the screw on mechanism reduces or eliminates air flow, protecting the wire.
Not cheap but worth the money.
Great for AVR use.
