Doing Good: Pagnozzi Charities
Jill couldn’t be more proud of her daughters, Taylor and Ashley.
With the help of Pagnozzi scholarships, the girls participate in gymnastics and tumbling.
When Jill applied to get the scholarship money to help pay for activities for the girls she had no idea how it would change all their lives in and out of the gym.
“Both girls have really excelled, not so much in their sports, but in life,” she said. “They do well in school, they have really come out of their shell.”
Ted Wade coaches little league and is also on Pagnozzi Charities board. He knows the scholarships and equipment the group provides to kids in need in invaluable.
“When you coach those kids and see that for the first time they are getting to hold a bat in their hand – or get together and do a team cheer – when you see that smile on their face – there is nothing more rewarding than that,” he said.
Pagnozzi helps many kids afford to play on the Boys & Girls Club league teams – therefore giving them the unique gift of experiencing the coach/player bond.
“The kids that are able to participate through Pagnozzi Charities have a chance to grow up with a role model that maybe they’ll just have for one year – or maybe six or seven – and see what a successful person can do in life,” said Boy & Girls Club Recreation Coordinator, David Camp.
Whether it’s confidence, fun, or a special bond, Pagnozzi Charities offers kids something much more serious than just a chance to play.
“I don’t know where their sport will take them, but they will carry this on throughout their lives – working with other people – seeing how much hard work pays off,” Jill said abouther daughters.
Hard work helping to assure the girls that Jill is so proud of keep bringing home medals – and good grades.
