Mariah is craving fruit
MARIAH Carey is currently expecting her first child with husband Nick Cannon and has found her body has changed a lot and is particularly amazed by how her food tastes have altered.
She said: “My fingers obviously swelled a little bit. I can’t even get this ring off if I tried. My taste bud situation is unparalleled… I don’t know what it is, but I’m just about fruit for some reason. it has to be really good for me to like it.”
The “Hero” hitmaker also revealed she is unsure how she and Nick will spend Christmas this year as doctors have recommended the couple skip their annual festive trip to Colorado ski resort Aspen.
She explained to US TV show “Extra”: “I can’t go there this year because of the altitude. We’re figuring it out. looking at different options.”
Though Mariah is craving fruit, she enjoyed a feast of vegetables when she cooked for herself and Nick on last week’s Thanksgiving holiday, which they spent quietly at home.
Mariah said: “I didn’t feel like doing much of anything. I did cook… what I cooked was the best thing of the holiday. I’m sorry but it was. I cooked mashed potatoes and corn.”
Kylie gets criticised by her sister
KYLIE Minogue – the “Better than Today” – singer wasn’t surprised when her sibling Dannii Minogue was asked to be a judge on UK TV pop star search show “The X Factor” in 2007 because she has always been willing to give people an honest opinion.
She said: “Dannii is so honest, she’s perfect for ‘X Factor’. before she was a judge on the show, she would come to my concerts and I always knew I was going to get a real opinion. Like she’d say, ‘Dancers two and five were off.’ She’d give me a list of things.”
Despite being willing to take criticism from her sister, Kylie admitted she can be a diva.
Asked if she ever requested her entourage call her “Ms Minogue”, she told more! magazine: “Oh that’s a no. I need to be more of a diva. I promise I’ve got my diva stripes in other areas. I’ve had every possible hairdo ever.”
Rock legends turned puppy lovers
ROCK legends Brian May, Jimmy Page, Keith Richards and Roger Daltrey are among several stars – including Pink Floyd’s David Gilmour, Eric Clapton, Paul Weller, Mick Jones and thin Lizzy’s Gary Moore – to put their signatures on the PUP AID Epiphone Casino Guitar, which was donated by Liam Gallagher and will be auctioned off later this month.
TV vet Marc Abraham is responsible for the anti-puppy farming initiative and is delighted so many famous faces have agreed to lend their support to the PUP AID Campaign.
He said: “I’m so thankful to Epiphone for starting what’s been quite a mad journey, and truly honoured to have met some of the most influential musicians and heroes in rock history who have supported this campaign.”
PUP AID is also being backed by Save-Me – a campaign founded by Queen guitarist Brian to promote decent treatment of animals – who have urged dog lovers to back responsible pet breeding.
They said: “Save-Me is supporting Marc the vet’s important campaign to end the disgraceful Puppy Farming trade. Make sure you don’t support cruelty in irresponsible pet breeding.”
The PUP AID Epiphone Casino Guitar will be sold at London’s Bonhams on Dec 15, along with an original Jimi Hendrix guitar and Beatles lyrics in a special entertainment memorabilia auction.
Proceeds from the sale will go to the Dogs Trust, Oldies Club – a charity specialising in rehoming older dogs – and the Kennel Club Charitable Trust.
