Social Media Initiative to Engage Denon Enthusiasts and Reach New Fans
Denon is launching a multi-tiered online campaign to engage Denon enthusiasts and reach out to potential new fans. As part of this outreach, the company will launch a “100 Days of Denon“ social media initiative that will feature a redesigned Facebook Welcome page with specially created areas for featured products and 100th Anniversary promotions. A “100 Days of Denon Giveaways“ area will include a headphones giveaway to a new Denon Facebook Fan each day. The Facebook page will also include a Dealer Locator and a special “Denon Screening Room“ where visitors can view the latest Denon product videos, as well as enjoy interviews and conversations with DJs, artists and enthusiasts who are passionate about sound.
Denon has also launched an informative “Legacy of Firsts” microsite (denon100.com), providing a window on the company’s storied past and a visionary glimpse into the future. Most prominent is a visual recap of Denon’s first 100 years, offered in a colorful and graphically-engaging “timeline” scenario. Visitors can learn about such groundbreaking “Denon Firsts” as the 1939 introduction of the first professional use disc recorder, the first PCM recorder (the basis of today’s CD format) in 1970 and the first consumer-use CD player in 1982, as well as the first dual CD player for DJs with seamless looping and onboard sampler in 1993 and the first Universal DVD/CD player in 2009.
Celebration at Denon U.S. Headquarters in New Jersey
The official anniversary kick-off celebration on October 1st in Mahwah will include a ceremonial cake cutting featuring a special creation from Carlo’s Bakery – the home of TLC’s “Cake Boss.” The anniversary cake, featuring a Denon turntable confection, will be delivered by Chef Mauro and other staff from Carlo’s Bakery.
Phil Cohn, Senior Vice President of Sales & Marketing, Denon Electronics, “The legions of Denon owners and fans, as well as all our employees, whether here in the U.S. or at one of our many overseas facilities, have a right to be proud today as we celebrate our centennial anniversary.
