I bought this unit to gold and silver coins and ingots weighing. It is a very robust and compact unit. It fits in a pocket or purse or pocket. It works very well made and the balance is correct.
When I first saw the device and turned on her, it did not. I discovered, was to lose batteries. Actually the batteries from the device when you are sent.
In any event, even though I have long been, I am very happy with them. The price is exceptional and individual sale is super easy to handle.
I was a little irritated that the device does not come with a calibration weight. Be sure and get 500-gram weight for this model. They need not be the first time that the device but at a time you want.
Highly recommended.
Update: now after using the scale to see the coin weight for a while I noticed that it is not completely accurate. Even after calibration. A silver dollar should weigh 31: e 1 I weigh between 31 grams it had 1-31. 5: e But troy ounce is always an ounce, as it should be.
There is a margin of error. So if you need extreme accuracy, you need much more money. But if you want to be close, will do well.

I ordered this scale to weigh small parts for RC cars, and it has excellent. As others have said, remove the batteries from the device before the balance because the batteries are sealed in plastic. For the price I do not expect the build quality to be great, so I was not shocked by the build quality was relatively cheap. The plastic body feels ok, but the battery cover feels cheap and loose. The cover for the stainless steel platform is not so bad, but. The scale is small about 4 “x 3? in size, but weighing platform is decently large area of approximately 70% of the area.
As for usability and accuracy, it is a very small scale with a beautiful large backlit LCD with auto-off after Battey to save energy. To get accurate results you must place it on a flat, non-moving surface, because at this size is very sensitive. I’ve found so far which were very consistent, to consider the same objects many times, and the results are within + / – 0 One gram of little things that are less than 30g. The scale is ready to use and is calibrated at the factory, but if you ever need to calibrate this model, you need a 500g calibration weight, you can not use smaller calibration weights, because it is not properly calibrated. Note also that environmental factors influence the scale readings as ambient temperature, strong pull from the ceiling fans and magnetic fields.
This is a precision instrument, they should not be covered for example, drop, do not in direct sunlight, do not stay in areas with high humidity and not save the flat vertical scale. All in all a very cost effective and accurate pocket scale, which is very easy to use.

The price was very good. The balance works well, and I have found some of the discrepancies noted by other reviewers.
Clamshell cover and stainless steel scales are excellent properties, such as “Indiglo-style” Backlight to an unexpected but very welcome surprise, and the batteries were included (also a nice surprise in these days).
I also noticed that the batteries were crooked and the device does not work immediately when I opened the package, although this obviously conscious about keeping batteries drain in transit. When they are packed out (mine was packed, and installed in scale, fully-wrapped), working the right balance.
All in all, it is very nice, quick and easy to use and has exactly two days to come to me with standard shipping – amazingly quick service.
I am very happy with this purchase.

The scale is very beautiful, built, and the black cabinet with stainless steel weighing pad inserts a beautiful polished look. It comes with batteries (which I because they were nameless Chinese condemned brand), but the idea of adding batteries is nice for free. The battery compartment is a place to store an extra set of batteries (which I do, that makes them feel bigger / higher quality). It is very slim and easily stored away. Instructions are on the inside of the lid is nicely printed. Another reviewer said, not to calibrate it but I bought a 500 gram calibration weight and did it just to see if it would work okay, and did it. The scale said 500 6 gram calibrated before I got there, so it was pretty much start and probably will not require calibration for a while. Looking good, accurate and reproducible results, great price, what more do you want in a 600 gram scale?

This scale is completely useless to me. Even with putting as much as 4th/10th gram, completely failed to record weight. A complete waste of money
