Who doesn’t have a memory of a favorite wooden toy – perhaps made by Dad or Grandpa. While these toys are generally considered safe, at least compared to toys made of plastic, there are still areas of concern.

Paint or Coating Concerns In the past few years this has recently become a big concern. Since 2007 more than 100 toy lines have been recalled due to lead found in the paint. However, there are other coatings that are harmful as well.
