Well, for starters, Dr. Christmas Jones is supposed to be a nuclear physicist–Denise Richards, yeah, right! Then as for the name "Christmas": Once Richards' character learns of Renard's plot to destroy the pipeline (in the movie The World Is Not Enough), Christmas assists Bond in his mission. In classic Bond-movie fashion, she becomes highly attracted to him, and they have sex after the end of the mission, prompting Bond's comment "I thought Christmas only COMES once a year". If her name wasn't Christmas, Bond couldn't have said the supposedly funny line (comes=orgasm).

Children's #books can be amazing, but as a child I was read Twain and Pushkin, not Dr. Seuss or Junie B. Jones. Made a difference, I think!
