Lladro Clown Figurines

If you enjoy collecting figurines then you’ll want to check out the unusual style of the Lladro clown figurines. Lladro began crafting the circus figurines in 1969 and has become quite well known for the intricate detailing in the work that is done. The clown characters come with such detailing as baggy pants, curly haired wigs and bulbous noses. The characters can found in traditional fun poses such as the “world of magic” figurine which depicts the clown riding on a tiny bicycle, or in more serious and contemplative ones. The “Bohemian melodies” figurine stands as a lone clown with a violin.
There are also several pieces in the line of collectibles that are now retired Lladro figurines. The fact that the pieces are no longer in production makes them very popular as collectible items. The “world of magic” piece can retail for as much as $3,400. If you’re looking for something a bit more unusual then a traditional clown you could choose the “nostalgia” figurine which depicts a harlequin type clown. The piece can retail for as much as $1,200 because of its originality in design. It is crafted in subdued colors of gray and cream.
The Laldro figurines that depict more traditional style clowns have more color incorporated into their design. The “having a ball” figurine is a small clown wearing a red polka dot suit and hat and is seated on a blue striped beach ball. The colors are designed to be muted and soft which give the pieces an original look to them. You can also choose the sad clown Lladro figurine for a different twist on the clown theme. The pieces come in glazed porcelain and can stand as tall as 11 ½ inches.
The assortment in the line of Lladro clown figurines will make choosing a figurine to give as a gift an easy task. The Lladro prices for the pieces can range from $200 to several thousands of dollars, depending on the particular piece. The intricate design and the attention to detail is what make the pieces so popular among collectors. You can feel the soft drape of the clown’s robe as he bends to pet a stray dog. You can feel the emotion behind every detailed facial expression on the figures as they are forever captured in the moment. The figurines in the Lladro line are sure to become treasured pieces in anyone’s home.
