Gift ideas for cat or dog owners.

- Kitty real estate: If you’re in the market for a kitty condo, then Armarkat has the listings for you.

Give your cat a home of its own, featuring multi-level carpeted perches for the perfect view and midday snooze, hideaway spots and scratching posts — better their home than your couch.

Armarkat has various types of cat furniture ranging from studio-sized to mansion-like proportions.

$84.99 US for their 62-inch cat tree condo; amazon.com

- Little stinker: Standard plastic litter boxes have been the bane of any interior designer’s existence. But not anymore.

Abbotsford’s Fat Cat Creations has come up with a creative way to hide your pet’s messes with their handmade wooden litter chests. The modern loo comes with a hinged top for cleaning access and a small entrance — keeping out nosy dogs and curious toddlers.

- With bells on: Here’s a stylish way to make sure your cat comes home safely.

California’s the Modern Pet boasts handmade cat collars in an array of patterns, including stripes, argyle, eco-friendly dyed hemp and more. With breakaway safety buckles and removable bells, they’re sure to be the cat’s meow.

- Teasing time: Find your finicky feline bores easily with their same old mouse toy? There’s one sure-fire toy out there that almost never fails to amuse: The laser pointer. Give Canadian Tire’s five-in-one laser exerciser a whirl for $8.99.

- Put their toys away: Want something a little more sophisticated? There’s always SmartCat’s Peek and Play Cat Toy Box, which partially hides two balls and your pet’s favourite toys, making them fish it out for hours of entertainment.

- Catnip (the other B.C. bud): When it comes to mind-altering organic products for your cats, there’s no beating Canadian catnip.

A variety of locally grown bulk catnip and toys from Kooky Kats and BC Buddy are available at Langley’s Kitty Kingdom. A sure-fire win is Sammy the Slithering Snake — filled with 20 grams of Kooky’s premium stuff.

- Pupparazzi: For the consummate pet worshipper, memorialize their furry friend with a professional photo shoot.

There’s a fair abundance of pet photographers in B.C. including Vancouver and Whistler-based Unleashed Pet Photos, which for $180 will get you a one-hour shoot with 15 fully edited online proofs.

Whistler offers luxury accommodation for pampered pooches (cats, too!) and their two-legged friends. The $25 surcharge per night includes a welcome package for furry guests, including an ID tag, lead, poop and scoop bags, massage cream, food, postcard and treats.

- P is for pooch, pet and personalized: A personalized gift can be easy to find in a pinch. Book stores and department stores can be a haven for breed-specific literature, clothing, calendars, mugs — you name it.

To make it even more specific, try a gift and engraving store to add their pet’s name to a picture frame.

Or, if their fashion is going to do the dogs, have their furry one’s mug put on a shirt.

From $19.50 with free 15-day shipping in B.C.; Custom Ink; customink.com

- hang it up: Thinking of getting something for the pet owner’s home? Pets Unleashed has personalized wrought-iron leash holders that are sure to spruce up any (dog) house.

- Sit! Stay! Heel!: Give the gift of a well-trained pet. Obedience classes, petsitters/doggie daycare and petwalkers ensure the animal’s needs are met and the owner’s home isn’t the target of a jilted pet.

Vancouver’s Dogcity has a bit of everything to socialize and tire out pooches: boarding, training, hiking, adventure walks, walking and daycare.

$43 for 10 hikes; $35 for 10 one-hour private walks; $27.50 for 10 full-day daycare services; dogcity.ca or 604-733-0012

Don smiths dipole generator looks like an ancient egyptian “tet”. Maybe the egyptians were harnessing magnetic resonance energy. Just remarkable similarities. Very nice video. demonstrates effects well. thanks for posting.

If I understand your question, yes. The angle at which the ball is struck will certainly have an affect on the vertical distance it travels. This is simple physics – Newton's law: every action will have an equal and opposite reaction. So the angle of impact of the force delivering the blow will determine the trajectory of the ball in flight.

The initial trajectory is determined by impact. The height is determined by force and slowed, then reversed by gravity.

This is the entire point of having different clubs in the bag. This is why a higher lofted club will go higher in the air. You can even de-loft clubs on purpose by changing the angle of impact. Find a good set of clubs, a nice practice facility and a laser range finder and go do some experimenting.
