Above & Beyond Event Planners, llc announces the opening of its new location at 1450 Niagara Falls Boulevard in Tonawanda, NY. The occasion will commence from 5 p.m. – 8 p.m., Friday, September 24 with Happy Hour Friday for networking professionals, and continue from 11:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m., Saturday, September 25 with Laid Back Saturday. The opening comes only a month after co-owner Mattie Stevenson was named “Party Goddess of The Week” by Los Angeles-based company, The Party Goddess.

The savvy event planners, once located on the east side of Buffalo, move to the new location – with a new look. This represents a milestone for the planners, who started their business in a dining room in February 2009, before moving to a Jefferson Avenue office six months later. One year later, Tonia Oates says, “Moving to our new Niagara Falls Boulevard location is an exciting endeavor and a testament to our expanding consumer base.”

The Grand Opening will showcase a variety of tablescapes, wedding and event techniques, and tips for planning on a budget. The company promises guests friendly customer service, great ideas, delicious food samples, exciting giveaways and the latest in cutting-edge creations.

Come celebrate the grand opening of Above & Beyond Event Planners and enjoy catered refreshments, bridal raffles, entertainment, two grand prizes totaling over $2,500 in value and other complimentary goodies. CORPUS CHRISTI – La Palmera is celebrating nearing completion of its $50 million renovation project.

The mall held a mixer Friday, marking the opening of the Outdoor Lifestyle Court and the new main entrance. Shoppers will find the new Charming Charlie fashion accessories boutique, as well as new landscaping and interactive pop jet fountains. Grimaldi’s Pizzeria is set to open in April while P.F. Chang’s is set to open in June.

Trademark also announced the signing of two more tenants. Ulta, a beauty retailer, will be located at the new mall entrance this fall. Wendy’s will open in the food court in July.

If you have not been to La Palmera lately, 15 new stores and restaurants have opened up since July 2008. They include Dallas Cowboys Pro Shop, Villa Fresh Italian Kitchen, Sarku Japan, H.J. Smoothies & Creamery, Stir Fry 88, Coffee Beanery, Pretzel Maker, Verizon, Little Surprises, Michel Perfume, Regis, Subway, MTV Nails, Charming Charlie’s and VANS.

JCPenney recently opened a new “Sephora Inside JCPenney” store.

On a related note, AT&T has just remodeled and updated its retail store at La Palmera Mall in Corpus Christi. The store held a grand opening celebration on Friday.
